Overview Of Guerrilla Trekking
Guerrilla trekking is an explore the unique natural landscapes of Nepal. The Guerrilla trekking route consists of a historic significance as Jalja La, a pass at 3386 m. The Jalja-La pass trekking is a new open trekking trail of Nepal. It is in the far western region of Nepal. Not so many trekkers had trekked ofter trekked in Guerrilla trekking area. It had been a route used by the Maoists during the war in Nepal. The Guerrilla trekking trail goes through the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve towards the villages of Rukum and Rolpa in Nepal. En-route enjoys the scenic vista of the Dhaulagiri range, Manaslu range and the unexpected unique landscape of these places. You also pass through several gorges and pine forests. The people of the Guerrilla trekking trail have undergone lots of hardships during the war period and they are trying to forget the war wounds and trauma through tourism. Due to the geographical settings, the places we are visiting are away from the modern world and inventions. Thus while trekking in Jaljala Pass you can get first-hand experiences of the war memorial and information regarding the war activities of Nepal from 1996 A.D to 2006 A.D.
En route we can also enjoy the magnificent vista of the snow-capped mountain ranges like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Gurja Himal (7193m), Mt. Api Himal, Saipal Himal, Chauri and Since. The surrounding views from the Jalja-La pass (3386m) are also interesting.
Guerrilla trekking begins from Beni, the district headquarter of Myagdi District. The Guerrilla trekking further passes through Tatopani, highland meadows of Jaljala Pass, Uttar Ganga River, the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, Maikot, Taka, Gurjaghat, Gurjakhant, and Niseldhar. Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
Day 02: Full day of sightseeing of Kathmandu valley.
Day 03: Drive to Beni (830m). 9 hours.
Day 04: Trek to Darbang (1070m). 5 - 6hours.
Day 05: Trek to Lamsung (2250m). 4 - 5 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Gurjaghat (3015m). 5 - 6 hours.
Day 07: Trek to Dhorpatan (2870m). 4-5 hours.
Day 08: Trek to Nisel Dhor (2620m). 4-5 hours.
Day 09: Trek to Taka (2185m) 6 - 7 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Lukum (2095m). 5-6 hours.
Day 11: Trek to Thawang (1975m). 4-5 hours.
Day 12: Trek to Jaljala (3090m). 4-5 hours.
Day 13: Trek to Jelbang (1635m). 4-5 hours.
Day 14: Trek to Suliochaur (830m). 5-6 hours.
Day 15: Drive from Sulichaur to Kathmandu. 9-10 hours.
Day 16: Leisure day in Kathmandu.
