The expedition to the Short Annapurna trekking trail begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a gateway to the Annapurna region—the drive moves to Nayapul the next day. After reaching Nayapul, trekkers start their trekking journey towards Tikhedhunga. On the third day of the trip, the trek ascends towards Ghorepani village. Another day takes trekkers early in the morning to Poon Hill to capture the mesmerizing sunrise view. After catching the sunrise view, the journey moves towards Tadapani. The trail continues towards Ghandruk, a Gurung village from Tadapani. The sixth day’s walk is the last hike in the Annapurna region that takes from Gandruk to Nayapul. After traveling to Nayapul on foot, get a scenic ride to Pokhara. The journey ends with a drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Best Time to trek Short Annapurna

The Annapurna region faces four distinct seasons, and among them, Spring and Autumn are best for the Short Annapurna trekking trail. Autumn starts in Early September and ends in the late November.
