How to get to Upper Mustang?

You should either fly or drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Jomsom. Jomsom is where you would like to start your upper mustang trekking from (2780m). You will reach Jomsom on the same day you fly from Pokhara and start your trek by walking towards Kagbeni Village. It is the start and end of the restricted trekking area. We highly recommend you trek at a time from the beginning of February to end of the November because it is located at the rain shadow part of the Himalayas of Nepal.
