Tour Bardiya National Park, one of Nepal’s largest wildlife reserves, covers an area of 968 km. It is in the far southwest corner of open Nepal, bounded by middle hills in the north and the Karnali River to the west and south.
From 1976 to 1988, Bardiya Reserve expanded from 368 sq. km to 968 sq. km. Later, in 1988, it was designated a National Park. Compared to other national parks, Sagarmatha National Park, Annapurna Conservation, Langtang National Park, Se Phokosundo National Park, and Chitwan National Park, it is a more significant national park.
