Most importantly, Larkey La Pass itself is the crown of this trek, where trekkers are enchantingly welcomed with the astonishing sight of giant Mountains: Manaslu, Himlung, and Annapurna. Accommodation During Trekking
Camping on the Larkey La Pass trek is not possible; the Lodging is generally in teahouses or local guest houses. Those offer simplistic and rather rustic accommodations with sometimes shared facilities such as beds, cooking, and dining areas in which trekkers sit together socializing and eating. Breakfast is understandably a simple meal of the famous dal bhat (lentil soup with rice), noodles, or Tibetan bread that is required to keep the energy levels up for the long day treks. However, the lodges are more like simple huts – and even more so the higher up one gets – the friendliness of the people and the sense of togetherness with fellow travelers turn the trekking into a wonderfully memorable experience. For the few nights we are camping at higher altitudes, a warm sleeping bag is recommended.
How Difficult is the Larkey La Pass Trekking?
Larkey La Pass trek is regarded to cut across the moderate to highly challenging level of trekking depending on the physical strength and staminal fitness of the trekkers. This means that the day of hiking includes 6-8 walking hours through rugged terrains and steep slopes. There is an additional challenge, which is the high altitude, the Larkey La Pass at 5, 106 meters, making it hard to breathe due to limited oxygen. Still, with proper acclimatization techniques, controlled hiking expedition, and self-determination, it is very much within a trekker’s ability if, of course, they have had some prior experience. Regular genitalia-struggling virgins should be pneumonic in advance and pass cardio and strength training trials to make the journey pleasurable. Winning the battle at the top, not to mention the beautiful sceneries that can be seen on top of the entire climb.
