Difficulty Level of the Family Trek
The trek starts from Kathmandu's Domestic Airport to Lukla Airport by small plane in Nepal. As shown on the Legend of the Route map, the red line indicates the difficulty level. However, there is no red line on the Everest Family trek, as it doesn't involve any challenging paths. This is why everyone can trek with their family and children year-round.
Main Hiking Route
The route map for the Everest Family trek depicts the main hiking route, with the difficulty level just below. The orange line represents the main hiking trail on the Map. The orange line on the Everest Family trek starts from Lukla and goes to Khumjung village and monastery. You can see Mount Everest from Khumjung and the historical monastery. Of course, you may explore the local village and school of Adman Hillary.
Secondary Routes
The Everest Family trek route map indicates a secondary route with an orange dotted line. The secondary route is an option for other trekking trails, not just the hiking trail. The route map shows that the secondary route starts from Kyanjuma and goes to Tyangbouche Monastery, Everest Base Camp, Island Peak, Everest Three Passes Trek, Gokyo Valley, Cho La Pass, and Renjo La Pass.
Viewpoints
The symbol of binoculars on the Everest Family trek route map represents the viewpoints on the journey's trail. The route map showcases the three different views. However, on the Everest Family trek, trekkers only get to one viewpoint: Khumjung. You can enjoy the view of numerous mountain peaks, including Mount Everest, from Khumjung without reaching a higher elevation. Khumbila, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, and Lhotse are the other significant mountain peaks that are awe-inspiring from the Khumjung viewpoint. Everest Base Camp and Kanchenjunga are the other best trekking viewpoints.
Mountains
The Everest Family Trek map includes various mountain peaks in the left corner. Every trekker can see all the mountains shown on the Map throughout the trek. Mount Everest (8848 meters, but recently it is 8848.68 ), Khumbila (5761m), Ama Dablam (6623m), Cho Oyu (3133m), Pumori (7165m), and Lhotse (8501m) are eye-catching from the viewpoint of Khumjung. Furthermore, views of Mount Lingtren (6749m), Lhotseshar (8393m), Nuptse (7879m), and Island Peak (6189m) will accompany you throughout your journey.
Lakes
The blue circle on the Everest Family trek route map represents the lakes. The icons of the Lakes are settled into two different areas on the Map. One lies in the Gokyo Valley, and the other is at the bottom of the Island Peak. However, trekkers cannot see these lakes because of the distance along their journey.
Similarly, Gokyo Lake is a very famous Lake in the Khumbu area. Four other lakes are listed together. Most people can trek to Gokyo Valley and Ri. It is four days further than from Khumjung and Namche Village. If you are talking about Lake of the Island Peak, it is pretty unreachable and challenging because it is beside the trekking trail.
Highest Altitude
The route map includes the elevation of each trekking peak and hiking destination. The Legend of the Map shows that the highest elevation trekkers reach on the Everest Family trek is 3800m at Khumjung via Shyanbuche Airport. There is no need to worry about altitude, as there are small forests along the trekking trail. We can easily breathe. Traveling with your family and Child is another of the best experiences. We fully suggest traveling with seniors and children.
Suspension bridges
Throughout the trek to Everest Family, there are many different suspension bridges. Some of them are shaking metal bridges, and some of them are wooden bridges along the trekking trail. However, the suspension bridges pass through Lukla, Phakding, Monjo, and Jorshalle on the route to Namche Bazaar. Yet, those bridges are connected to the higher parts of the Everest trekking trails and lodges.
Glacier during the Trek
The Everest family trek does not take you to higher-altitude trekking trails. It is still a lowland trek in the Everest area. Because of this, we are unable to touch the Glacier, but we can see it from a distance. There are nearby Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo, and Lhotse, and we can see the Glacier during the trekking trail.
Monastery
The trekking journey to Everest Family exposes you to nature's beauty and provides cultural immersion. The Khumbu region is the heart of the Buddhist religion. Similarly, Many different areas have monasteries in the Family trekking trail. As every local of the Sagarmatha region follows Buddhism, we can find monasteries in every corner; even the inscription OM MANE PADHME HU is written on the rocks. Likewise, Lukla, Ghat, Phakding, Manjo, Jorshalle, Namche Bazaar, and Khumjung have prominent Monasteries. Still, you can see many different monasteries higher along the way to Everest Base Camp.
Checkpost
For security purposes, there are several checkpoints in the Everest region. On the Everest Family trek, trekkers pass through two checkpoints: one at Lukla and the other between Monjo and Namche Bazaar. Every client must have a trekking pass and National Park Permits to enter Sagarmatha National Park.
